Transhumanism is the emerging factor to forecast human future beyond its territory. This paper discusses the impact of transhumanism in the lives of the people of this posthuman society in physical and psychological aspects. The subject of this novel, Blindsight (2006) by Canadian writer Peter Watts, deals with the concept of transhumanism in the futuristic sphere of science, technology, and innovation in the posthuman era. Through the internal evolution of characters, the paper illustrates psychological agony and trauma to showcase the severe effects of transhumanism on human lives. The paper also explores the humanist approach of the transhuman beings and their societies, depicting why and how this emerging phenomenon is applied in the novel from a humanist point of view. It also examines how transhuman lives are described by a human from a literary viewpoint to build a bridge between humans and transhumans.
