Digital pedagogy has evolved rapidly, particularly in response to the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic not just in Indian classroom context but all over the world. Before the digital revolution, Indian engineering education relied heavily on traditional teaching methods, including lectures, chalkboards, and printed textbooks. The Covid-19 pandemic forced a swift and unprecedented shift to online education even when the platform was not fully ready to exploited. Engineering colleges across India had to adapt quickly, moving their entire curriculum online. Teachers had to upgrade their digital skills and set to deliver lectures using the online mode without proper assimilation training in the use of digital technologies. This article is aimed at validating the fact that AI has the potential to significantly improve educational outcomes in the Indian context. As millennial India continues to invest in digital education, AI will play an increasingly vital role in shaping the future of engineering education, ensuring that students are well-equipped to thrive in a rapidly evolving technological landscape. The classrooms are on the way to truly become smart classrooms with the assimilation of blended AI tools in the teaching methodology.
