Gender neutrality and inclusion: Representation of diverse identities beyond gender stereotypes in the movie Rifle club

Abstract:

The Malayalam movie Rifle Club delves into themes of justice, moral dilemmas, and vigilantism in a socio-political context. Set against the backdrop of rural Kerala, the film portrays the transformation of an ordinary man into a reluctant vigilante after he is faced with corruption, injustice, and the failure of the legal system. Through its fictive, the movie raises pertinent questions about the ethical boundaries of self-defense, the role of firearms in civilian life, and the psychological impact of violence on individuals and communities. The movies go through both feminine and macho perspective. Where the director has used a red color to indicate the dangerous aspects in the movie. In every scene it is very well grounded of the shades of red color which can be considered as the director brilliance. The recreation of shooting scenes of the actors which has made a vast impact in the social media as well as for the audience.
