This research paper explores the reimagining of Indian mythology by two contemporary authors, Devdutt Pattanaik and Amish Tripathi. While Pattanaik presents a philosophical and symbolic interpretation rooted in traditional texts and Indic epistemology, Tripathi re-envisions mythological characters in modern fictional narratives. Through their unique approaches—analytical for Pattanaik and narrative for Tripathi—both authors democratize ancient Indian myths, making them relevant and engaging for 21st-century readers. This study compares their methodologies and examines how their works contribute to the evolving understanding of myth in modern Indian consciousness.
