Significance of English language for progress of Indian development

Abstract:

It is an admitted fact that English is the most widely spoken language in the world. Therefore, its significance in the modern world is very high and cannot be underestimated. Among all language spoken in word, the English is only language which is predominately spoken and officially approved by 31 sovereign states of 54 nations. The maximum of nations where English is widely spoken were British Empire territories. It is frequently believed that English is difficult to learn which is perceived due to its fluent, proficient and reading. English is found challenging to learn as a result of this sort of behaviour. The grammatical faults are most common in Asian people while writing English and most students learn English to prepare only for tests. Therefore, thus unable to produce even one sentence that is devoid of grammatical faults and mistakes. Further, people from India do not get enough practice in speaking English language and only way to advance in language is by development and advancement in life either through education or through business. Further, English language is very much significant as a window in the contemporary era of development.
